Hi, I'm Britney, the heart and soul behind Simply Britney Studios. My journey into photography began over a decade ago, driven by a desire to preserve the fleeting moments that make life so special. With a background in visual arts and a keen eye for detail, I have dedicated my career to perfecting the art of photography and videography.

March 2022 is when my life changed forever
my story
March 2022 changed everything for me. After having both cancer (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) and a severe hemorrhagic stroke at the same time was a battle I never expected to face, especially being so healthy and with a five-month-old baby. But it gave me an intense appreciation for waking up every day and a renewed perspective on life, love, and the moments that truly matter. Every day since has been a reminder of resilience, gratitude, and the beauty of second chances. I’ve learned to embrace life with even more passion, to cherish the in-between moments, and to find joy in the smallest details. My journey has shaped me into a storyteller with an even deeper appreciation for capturing love, laughter, and the connections that make life extraordinary.
Despite surviving the stroke with no cognitive effects, I was left with left arm paralysis and can no longer move my left hand. Still, I’ve never let it stop me from doing what I love—capturing life’s most beautiful moments through photography and videography. I’ve learned to adapt, to find new ways to create, and to embrace the challenges as part of my journey. My passion for storytelling is stronger than ever, and if anything, my experiences have deepened my understanding of resilience, love, and the power of human connection. No obstacle will ever keep me from doing what I was meant to do—preserving the moments that matter most.
Thanks to a bone marrow transplant in September of 2022, I’m now over two years cancer-free, knock on wood! I’ve been able to continue improving physically through occupational and physical therapy!
While I’ve been affected, I’m doing everything I can to not be limited.

I work as a graphic designer by day. I’ve been working as a graphic designer since 2013! I love the balance of creativity between design, photo, and video. I'm truly never bored!

I love listening to rock while editing photos and attending live concerts as often as possible. Trust me when I tell you I;ve been to a LOT of concerts and festivals. My best live concerts have been Twenty One Pilots, Young The Giant, Dave Matthews Band, The Foo Fighters, The Avett Brothers, Paramore, and The Maine!

I have visited over 20 national and state parks and love capturing unique landscapes. We’ve also rock-climbed and hiked in over 10 states! My favorites have been backpacking The Grand Canyon, Zion, and The Adirondacks! My favorite rock climbing will forever be Horseshoe Canyon Ranch!

I have one adorable dog, Val, who often makes cameo appearances at photo sessions. She’s a beautiful mixed-breed dog, who looks like a large, lanky fox! Beware, she loves to give kisses and with her long neck, NO one is safe!
I also love it when clients bring their dogs or pets to sessions!

I can't start my day without a cup of cold-brew coffee. I’ve perfected the recipe at home! I love a good latte when not at home! I’m a major fan of Kaldi’s coffee - their Madagascar Vanilla and Cinnamon Hazelnut are so so amazing!
